I’m Dr Claire Donnellan, a gerontology researcher, educator, Chartered Psychologist and Registered Nurse. My journey through clinical practice and academia has shaped a clear mission: to change how society sees ageing and recognise the wisdom, expertise and contribution of older adults.

Older adults bring knowledge, judgement and perspective built over a lifetime. I want that contribution to be visible, valued and properly rewarded, in our workplaces and across society.
My work across nursing, psychology and the study of ageing has taken me through universities in Ireland, the Middle East and Australia. Through New Generation Ageing, I bring that experience into advisory work, education and public conversations that challenge age-based assumptions. Read my story →

Named for Ecne, the personification of wisdom, knowledge and poetry in Irish mythology, this new subgroup of New Generation Ageing is being developed to help older adults rewrite their careers, connect with peers and bring their expertise to organisations through fairly paid consultancy.
